Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about products, setup, and support.
1. What does IK10 rating mean for a security camera?

IK10 is the highest impact protection level — can withstand a 5kg hammer strike from 40cm. Ideal for ceiling-mounted dome cameras in reach-by zones (warehouses, parking garages, back alleys).
2. Can IK10 dome cameras be installed outdoors in harsh weather?

Yes. Pairing IK10 with IP67 means total protection against rain, dust, snow, and deliberate tampering — built for year-round outdoor deployment in high-risk locations.
3. Do these cameras record audio as well as video?

BinSight IK10 Dome cameras support two-way audio — built-in microphone + speaker lets you talk through the camera from the GuardViewer app. Standard Armor IK10 Dome has listen-in only (microphone, no speaker).
4. How is footage stored — is there a monthly fee?

24/7 local recording to the NVR's internal HDD. No cloud, no subscription. Expandable storage from 2TB up to 8TB on the 8CH model.
5. What camera resolutions are available in this series?

5MP / 8MP (4K) / 12MP — all in vandal-proof dome form factor. Mix and match with the 16CH/32CH/64CH NVR bundles for scalable commercial installs.
